Redesigns QA Lead

 We are seeking a highly skilled QA Test Lead to oversee quality assurance and testing activities for the NYC Design System and its implementation across NYC.gov guided experiences. The role focuses on ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible, and user-friendly digital experiences for the public.

Responsibilities:

  •  Lead QA testing activities for NYC Design System enhancements, defect fixes, platform upgrades, and software maintenance. 
  •  Review requirements for completeness, testability, and provide QA recommendations. 
  •  Develop and manage test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test reports. 
  •  Execute functional, regression, sanity, compatibility, and integration testing. 
  •  Assign tasks, monitor progress, and mentor QA team members. 
  •  Manage defect tracking, reporting, and resolution with project teams. 
  •  Support deployments and maintain QA documentation throughout the SDLC. 
  •  Identify opportunities for test automation and performance testing. 
Required Qualifications:

  •  8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including 5+ years as a QA Lead working with complex enterprise solutions. 
  •  Experience testing public-facing software applications. 
  •  Experience using QA/test management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, QC, or similar platforms. 
  •  Hands-on experience with UI test automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java. 
  •  Experience developing test cases based on business and technical requirements. 
  •  Experience with browser-based UI testing (HTML), API/Web Services testing, and integration testing. 
  •  Knowledge of SoapUI, Postman, REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, CSV formats, and SQL. 
  •  Understanding of performance testing concepts and tools. 
  •  Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. 
  •  Ability to work independently, collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage tasks through completion. 
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
